Shanghainese start-up in Yiwu, second week of thoughts!
1. The trade city is only suitable for offline product viewing. People like to play with foreigners. It is not cost-effective for Xiaokalami to purchase goods.
2. Domestic e-commerce is "moving bricks" in Shanghainese. The profit is extremely low. People bring capital to scale. 90% of retail investors are harvested, 9% earn enough to eat and live, and only 1% can make a name for themselves.
3. Cross-border business is not suitable for me in the long run. On the one hand, it is the encirclement of developed countries, and on the other hand, too many domestic e-commerce companies have gone to cross-border business. I paid the "tuition fee" to learn how to do cross-border business, and basically there was no soup.
4. After thinking for a week, I decided that I would not be able to do it alone in Yiwu, so I decided to find a partner to do the e-commerce part, and most of the profits would be given to the other party.
5. There are so many night markets in Yiwu. Later, I thought that so many migrant populations must have a place to have fun at night, otherwise it would be a factor of insecurity after dark. I have to say, it's high! I heard that the booth fee is tens to hundreds of thousands, which makes the price not cheap even for a Shanghainese like me. Do the customers and the stall owners have some problems with their brains?
6. Yiwu doesn’t seem to be very big. I took the subway to find a house. After only a few stops, I got out of the Woodcarving City and found that I was out of Yiwu.
